DCU Excel+ (Twin Axle)

The DCU Excel+ is one of the larger units in the SMH decontamination unit (DCU) range. It is a compact unit, only 5.8m in length. With twin showers, it is suitable for up to eight workers, alongside welfare and toilet facilities. The unit can be fully self-contained when the fresh water tank is used in conjunction with the on-board LPG generator.

Designed and built to exceed the requirements of the UK’s asbestos removal regulations with a three stage decontamination arrangement - a 'clean', 'shower' and 'dirty' zone. Features include space heating for all-year-round use, and lockers with sockets for recharging powered respirators. Welfare facilities include seating for two people, a worktop, sink, fridge, and microwave. Toilet facilities include a sink, hot running water, mirror, soap dispenser, and cassette toilet.

The unit is built with self-closing doors to maintain the integrity of the decontamination process, and is easy to maintain when on site with external access to generator, water pump, waste water filter system and gas bottle.

Manufactured at an ISO 9001 quality assured site. The vehicle conforms to Whole Type Vehicle Approval for Vehicle Category TA02.
